I would like to use a song that has a good beat that could help with cutting the video at certain points, have distinct instruments so that I can do close-up shots of Lola and Woody playing instruments. It also has to look natural for Lola to sing it so obviously no male singers and just something that makes it look like she is the one singing it. It would be good if it had narrative style lyrics however I think the performace part is more important.
This is Why - Paramore

I think this could work really well as it has slower verses that can focus on instruments and lip syncing. It has lots of drums and this is featured in the actual music video, this would be good for my music video as I could do close-up shots of Woody playing the drums and Lola playing guitar. It has a faster chorus which would be good for musicality and cutting the shots on beat. I also really like the actual music video for this song and the types of shots they used.
Sinner- The Last Dinner Party

This would also work well with musicality, and the lyrics would be good to analyse a reference in the video. It could have a good narrative as well as performance aspects.
See You Soon -Beabadoobee
Don't Get the Deal - Beabadoobee

I really like this song and I think it could have a good narrative. It could also have a distinct style and aesthetic that would be easy to get across with Lola. However, it is a bit short and also not very rocky.
$20 - Boygenius
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvItjimKl4M
I would still like to reference BoyGenius in my music video through how Lola and Woody are dressed, but I don't think this song would work well as the lyrics would be hard to analyse and there are also three distinct voices in the dong, so won't match well with Lola's lip syncing
Here's Where The Story Ends- The Sundays
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HV5KfE4xMA
I really like this and I think the lyrics could work well as well as the song matching Lola's voice and so looking more natural however, unlike some of the other songs, it has less of a significant change from verse to chorus and has less rock features.
